Onsen is a place that not to be missed during your travel to Japan. Onsen are an essential part of Japanese life. First becoming popular more than 1,000 years ago the baths are still scattered throughout Japan. If you want to have pleasant time, to take a big rest, you should any of the Onsen.
However, since you will be bathe naked, a strict etiquette should always be adhered to. They are very structured step by step process on the onsen bath. In popular Onsen you can find english speaking staff who willing to explain and guide you through the process.
